New Activation System for Offline Use, Next Update?: Hello Everyone!Today I released an update that has you activate Game Server Toolbox. You will receive a product key to activate Game Server Toolbox with so you do not need Steam running to use the software. This was a huge downfall for people that use the same Steam Account they purchased Game Server Toolbox with to Play on their servers. It would say they need to quit Steam on the other system to play. So now you do not need Steam to be running to use Game Server Toolbox. You will still need to launch Steam to download updates but other than that, you do not need Steam running.This is a very simple process. All you need to do to create a Sector Byte Solutions Account is enter your email address and create a password in the activation window. Your account will be created and the Game Server Toolbox product key will be added to your account. The key will then automatically be copied to the Product Key field for activation. You will also receive an email with the product key for your records.Another huge benefit of registering is you will then have access to free 24/7 support within your account. Simply email support@sectorbytesolutions.com or open a ticket from your Account. See the change log below.- Fixed issue where upon successful activation the dialog popup said there was an error. (There was no error it was just a language issue.)- Added a setup window. You will now be able to select your directory’s and language on first launch. (There was an issue where if the user did not have a default steam library location it would cause an error until they corrected the directory path in the settings.)- Code Cleanup. Big Update!: Hello Everyone!Today we released v0.5 of Game Server Toolbox. This update introduces changes to how game servers are created to make way for the new custom game server creation update coming soon. With that said, you will need to re-create your game servers as there have been many changes to the config files. We also made it to where if we ever update config files again, you will have an option to upgrade them instead of re-creating your game server. There are many other features so check out the list below!- Added Early Access Message on startup.- Updated EULA.- Added notice on the setup screen about selecting your Steam Library Folder. This is the biggest issue people are having as they are selecting the wrong folder. We are working on ways to make this an easier process.- Redesigned the Home Tab to only show news since we moved the Early Access Message to its own window.- Redesigned the Game Servers Tab to show more information about the game server and moved the server details to its own panel.- Added Game Server Panel. You can now view all your server details in this panel. Some options are disabled for non-custom game servers to prevent the user from misconfiguring the server. You will be able to create a custom server in a future update to regain access to these settings.- Added option to restore the default Startup Parameters.- Added option to view the ports that need to be forwarded after creation of the server.- Added server process detection. This will allow the status of the server to be more accurate as if the server crashes the status will change automatically. This will also make way for a planed feature of auto starting the server if it crashes and sends a message to the user via email or SMS.- Added GUI Lock to make sure the user dose not start the server multiple times by accident.- Added Start Server warning message for servers that take some time to start and become joinable.- Updated Join Server warning message to include more detail.- Removed the Create Game Server Tab and replaced it with the Server Files Tab.- Added Server Files Tab. This is where you can create a game server or custom game server and manage your custom game server files.- Added the ability to add custom game server files. This means you can use Game Server Toolbox for servers that are not supported. We have very exciting plans for the community to be able to create and share custom server profiles for easier custom server creation coming soon.- Updated the way supported game servers are created. Simplifying and making it easier for people to create game servers.- Added a dedicated port forwarding window that explains in more details the process of port forwarding.- Added option to save the ports to a text file on your desktop for easier access.- Made some minor design changes to the Tools Tab.- Made some minor design changes to the Settings Tab.- Added a setting called “Use Local IP Addresses for Connection IP’s”.
